Adult Learn to Row

  • 16 students per session
  • Learners will use single sculls designed or equipped to give extra stability
  • Registration fee $286
  • If you decide to join the club after completing the learn to row classes 100% of your registration fee is applied toward your first-year membership!

Highschool/Youth Learn to Row – On Water

  • Maximum of 30 students per session
  • Ages 13 – 17
  • Students will learn and practice rowing techniques on the rowing machine and in our indoor training tank, in preparation for on-water rowing starting in May. The last class that will take place on the water. 
  • Registration fee $294 
  • If you decide to join the club after completing the learn to row classes, 100% of your registration fee is applied toward your first-year membership!

    Youth Summer Camps

    • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Based on demand, additional sessions may be added.
    • Ages 13 to 17
    • Small groups of youth with qualified coaches and engaging camp leaders
    • Includes learn to row lessons and other outdoor activities at our training facility and in the river valley parks.
    • Registration fee $395 per week; 100% of your registration fee will be applied toward a first year membership if the youth joins the club.
    • 18 available spaces per session.

    Private Lessons

    • Private lessons will operate outside of ERC program times, at the availability of the coach.
    • Lessons can be scheduled between the following times, based on coach availability:
    Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm
    Friday Optional, based on coach availability
    Saturday & Sunday 2:00pm – 6:00pm
    • $105/hr for one non-ERC member, $85/hr for one ERC member.
    • Technical development; not for new rowers

    Memberships

    • Our membership year is April 1 to March 31.
    • Look below for levels of membership and volunteer/bingo requirements:
      • 5 Row Punch card (can be renewed once for $150). Total fee = $196
      • Competitive membership – $706. For athletes looking to compete in rowing. Athletes in the Train to Compete stage of the RCA Athlete Development Pathway. Will be required a total of 30 volunteer hours.
      • Competitive (University Students) – $634. For university athletes looking to compete in rowing. Athletes in the Train to Compete stage of the RCA Athlete Development Pathway. Will be required a total of 30 volunteer hours.
      • Youth Membership– $550. Provides the same access as a full membership, for youth ages 13-17. Will be required a total of 20 volunteer hours.
      • Sport (Recreational) – $664.  For athletes looking for recreational forms of rowing. Athletes in the Train to Train and Learn to Compete stages of the RCA Athlete Development Pathway. Will be required a total of 29 volunteer hours.
      • Members contribute to the Club’s operations through volunteering at bingos and other club events. Members are required to work 3 bingos for the 2022/2023 season.
      • If regattas are sanctioned during the membership year, there may be additional fees for those training to compete.

    Athlete Support Fund

    • If you are facing financial challenges and are unable to afford registration fees, the ERC may be able to assist. 
    • Contact our Community Programs Director to inquire about the Athlete Support Fund.
